Dear Sir/Madam
Through searching on the internet on some issues regarding EQ, I found a topic as the effect of EQ on listening comprehension presented by Dr. Ghapanchi from Iran in international conference, 2011. Since this topic is the same as the one that I submitted for my MA thesis and an article I published in a local publication in Iran, I guess that this one is a copy of my article, but I am not sure about it because I have just read the abstract and do not have any access to the full text to compare. I wonder if you could send me the full text of his article. Moreover, I will appreciate it if kindly let me know to which address I can send my article in this regard.
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely yours;
Sara Badakhshan

This is an admirable overview of an admirable project. I would simply like to add that my own contribution to a Cognitive Semiotics appeared in Semiotica in 2000 in a review article whose purpose was to advance an analysis of the cognitive dimensions of popular cultural experience and popularity. Including the semiotics of everyday life, biology, cognitive science, Kantian aesthetics, and cultural studies, my article, I believe, was wholly in the spirit of CS and I include its bibliographical information here for any interest it may have for the readers of SemiotiX.

"What Makes Popular Culture Popular? Or From Everyday Life to Entertainment and Back Again," Semiotica 129-1/4 (2000), 149-178.

I'm saddened to hear of Peter's passing. I came across this page when looking for a picture to illustrate a talk I'm giving on Monday about the Semiotics of Object-Oriented programming and modeling --- a theory developed strongly from Peter's Computer Semiotics.

I've long enjoyed Peter's work, and felt privileged to meet him when he & Karin hosted my family for dinner when I was in Aarhus in 2004. Truly, it doesn't seem that long ago, and I was hoping to be able to catch up with him again. At least I have the book to look forwards too.
